If you look close this is a snake who ate a lizard, then the lizard woke up and clawed the snake until it ripped open! |
Dear Family & Friends,
I remember when Lynne use to bring ice cream shakes for us when we were sick or got hurt. It always makes you feel better. Marshmallow, caramel and chocolate shakes are the best. Well, this week was not so good it rained pretty badly. On Sunday we only got two people to church, they always come because one lives right next to the church and was baptized long ago but has to be baptized again. The other lives with Brother Felix and his Landlord. They are all members so they just bring him. We planned to have lots of new people to church this week but I guess that is what happens.
We cleaned the apartment today. The other day one of our recent converts made us some banku and okra--it was pretty awesome--had some big fish in it! I invited everyone to eat because there was so much so they all started to eat and I stopped because I was full, but the others continued.
Well, we went to get our African made suits last Monday--the guy was finished with them on Saturday night but we both had no money to pick them up so we had to wait. Now today the guy is not there, but I am sure we will get to try them on eventually. We had one of the members make us some really nice stuff to put on spaghetti. We are pretty happy about that.
We are also pretty busy here. We lost all those people so now we are doing everything we can to baptize 4 more. We had our baptism and everything went really good—it was a great baptism of Kojo. So that is the first entire family I have baptized here. Kojo, Lucy, Kofi, Kwame, and Adwoa (they are the ones baptized) then they have two daughters that are too small, Judy and Judith. So that was pretty cool news. We will be having 3 more for sure and hopefully one more--if everything goes right we will have 8.
Well, that is really all this week; it’s kind of bad out here now. Our Zone goal looks like we will have a hard time achieving it, but if everything goes great we will get 51 out of 47--but that’s if everything goes perfectly and already one has failed so I don’t know now.
Well Dad, I hope you had a great Father’s Day. I know I sure did ha ha! I love when it rains here, but wait; I’m not a father anyway, so it’s okay!!!!!!!!!!
Well, love you all tons and tons! Have a great week and watch some tennis for me! Wimbledon is so sweet—next year I will get to watch some of it! You will have to keep me posted on all the things that happened this year because that is like the World Cup of tennis!!! Miss you so much!
