Dear Family & Friends,
So this week was pretty good. To answer your question: That would be great to stay there. I don’t know them very well but it seems like because we have been serving together it has brought us together because now we have connections. Mom ha ha!!! Well, it sounds like the week went pretty good for you all.
I have been doing better this week. It’s not really fun to get to the end of your mission when you know you have limited days--it just seems like it is going to go by so fast and then it does. Elder Pearson has now been home for almost a month. This week was hard though, we had no one come to church so it was a sad week for us. We taught a lot of people and committed them. We even went to pick a few up, but guess what, they all failed us so I was not too happy but I kept cool. So this week we set our baptismal goals and now we will be setting a goal of 2 which is sad considering last time we set a goal of 8. I don’t know what happened. Everything is going pretty much the same. Well, it’s a little different and sometimes those little differences make all the difference. So I hope things start to come together soon. Maybe it’s just one last trial to go through before the end of my mission, but it’s not like I have not been there before. I was in Nungua for a long time with hardly anyone coming to church at times, and that was really sad but we got through it all.
Well it sounds like you have everything planned out for the trip to come to Ghana. It’s good to tell President what is going on. It will be cool to see him come home very soon after I leave. I just hope these last 2 months are stress-free ones. We have been teaching some pretty cool people but none of them have come to church yet--this week we hope to get like 10. We had a lady show up to church all by herself--that was way cool. We are going to see her on Tuesday. Her name is Alice. She also has a family that I hope we can teach and baptize. That would be the coolest thing ever to me--to baptize one more family before I leave or at least prepare them so they can be baptized after I leave.
My new companion has been talking a lot about working in the mechanics shop and I am actually getting excited to come home and see all that. It will be fun to work in the shop again. I always loved it, but I also didn’t because I don’t like to work I like to watch TV!!! j/k! When I come home that will be different. Wow, it is getting so close now. It’s weird that you are actually telling me about the place we will stay and what we are going to do. I am getting way excited to also see some of the people I have not seen for 2 years--that will be really cool.
Well, sorry about how short this is today. Love you all tons. I hope you are having a great month because I sure am!
Don’t forget to tell Elder Carson Lund that he should have a good time on his mission. I hope it will be sweet just like mine has been! Keep the rules; it makes it a lot better. Tell him I love him too and see him in about 2 years.
Well love you all tons again. I miss you.
Love, Elder Jeremy Reid
