The Temple Was Awesome!

Dear Family & Friends,

This is my new email, so I thought I would email you from here. Well, this week was pretty good. The orange chicken I tried to make did not work out at all--the gas in our house finished right when I started to cook it so that was really bad! Tell Josh and Jenny the food I like the best from Taiwan is the ground pork. I have eaten lots and lots of that--it’s so very good on rice and stew and beans and bread and anything really, even banko or fu fu!

I was going to send you all some pictures today. I took just some small, small ones so I could send them but I forgot the cable in the apartment so next week I will be sure to send them. Oh yeah, Dad, it doesn’t trunk me out to talk about coming home because I have been here so long now I can’t remember home. It doesn’t really seem real that I would go back there--it just seems like this is my work and I will be doing it the rest of my life. It’s really actually fun. It takes a lot to do this--it also takes a lot out of you to do it--but in the end everything that you willingly give you will get back one hundred fold.

I do need some contacts solution. Also, I got the packages--the one from Lynne’s family and the one from you. Tell Lynne, Paul and the kid’s thanks--it was all really nice and I ate tons of the candy already because it’s been so long since I have had some.

So, we had our baptism this week and it went very well. Today we opened our new email accounts, as you can see; they have finally made them secure enough to be in Ghana. We found out about the new email accounts during our temple trip. The temple was awesome! We had a great time there. Interviews were very good, too---one of the best we have had. President always builds us up! We worked really hard this week, but in the end at church this week we only had 1, so that was very sad. It was not easy, but this has been one of the times that I was able to take it really well, it did not really kill me at all because we did everything that we could this week to get some new people to church but they did not come.

I got a lot from the temple this trip--it was very nice! For 3 or 4 hours I just got to sit there and think---It was so sweet! Now we are back to working hard, as always.

Well, I have to go now—setting up the new email took a lot of my time. I love you very much. Please tell everyone that I am getting the mail they send me. I am so thankful for all the letters---they have really kept me going strong! I love to know what everyone is doing at home.

Love, Elder Jeremy Reid
