I Love The People So Much!

Dear Family & Friends,

Well, I actually wrote about 10 letters to some people this week. So the reason I wrote the letters to everyone was because Elder Pearson got sick yesterday and we only went to church. It was still a great Sunday! He is still sick and they once again gave him some malaria medication so that he will get better. I thought that I would not get to email again today so I was going to be really sad, but then he said he would like to come and email, but he still does not feel really great.

This week at church Francis did not come, he got sick, but he will still be set so we are not worried. Some more new people came this week. We had our baptism--we got there in the morning and the pump was broken so we called a guy to fix it, but they did not know what time the guy would come and it was already 8:00 am and we were having our baptism at 9:00 am! So I called President and asked him if it was okay and then they came, but the electrician never came. So we eventually got the baptism done. We baptized Monica and her twins and Ernest. It was really cool that they got baptized!

Well, that is really good about Mitch and Drew. I always liked Mitch he was cool, and Drew, too! I have some good experiences picked out so I hope my talk will be good. I don’t know though. I cannot wait to see Brother Leatherwood and Brother Campbell. I remember so much from them—I learned so much that has just sunk in since being on my mission.

It’s true, Elder Pearson will go and I will get a new companion. I hope it’s an Elder who wants to work and who wants to make this Zone lots better! I know it’s going to be a really cool guy. I never thought that I would end in Adenta, but I sure might and that will be okay with me. I will keep working harder. I know lots of people now and I know the members pretty well—it is good to have their help. Then you will come to pick me up from this area and we will plan a great baptism for that week--I hope! The way that our baptisms are set up--every two weeks--it would be right on the week that you are here. Also, that makes only 4 areas that we will visit when you come---5 would be very hard because there will not be enough days. I still might have to choose which ones, I think if we have to miss one it would be Ashamian. Anyway we will see what happens when you get here.

This week we had Zone Leader’s Council and we had a pretty good time. They just talked about the stuff that we have been talking about long ago. It’s kind of like that after you have been here long enough everything is just a repeat of things that have happened. This week again we have leadership training. It will be the same as last time more about the new teaching method.

I got the first package--the envelope. I opened it on accident and I found some pop tarts in there and then they disappeared. Okay, I ate them!!! To answer your questions: Brother Felix is part of the security and the Brown’s do live in that place too. I’m so excited for you to get here and see it all. Well, not much to see, once you see one town then you have seen them all!

I bet the Styx Concert was sweet! I would even like to see them--I love most of their songs. It sounds like Mom really tricked you Dad---haha!! Well, I hope Josh and Jenny are having a good time in there new house and also him going to school again. It also sounds like Matt and Shelby are having fun, too. It’s going to be really weird to go back to school. It’s really not going to be easy to leave this life and go into the real world. I have loved teaching everyone here. I love the people so much! When you go on transfers you know you will still get to teach more people so you are not worried, but when you go for that last great transfer it’s going to be really hard. No more teaching the people, no more seeing them, it will be really sad.

Well, I think that I will end now. I love you tons and will be happy to see you all soon.

Love, Elder Jeremy Reid
