The hot and rainy season in Ghana!
Dear Family & Friends,
So these past week have been up and down and everything in between! It rained last week twice, that was pretty crazy. I love it when it rains! This is the first week my hands did not bleed from washing clothes! That is pretty cool to me! I have found another great food---it is like rice and beans--it's called waakye (wachai) it's so good! You put it on stew! I actually am loving a lot of the native foods here. I am also learning how to make some of them, as well.
We transport ourselves when we get transferred to a new area! So, on transfer day I took 2 taxis, then a bus, then another taxis--which got me to the mission home with all my stuff! Next I took another taxi to my new area! So far, so good. It has been nice to be in a new area--but, I loved the old one, too! The people and members here are great! We are teaching tons of people and we get new investigators all the time! I am having so many amazing experiences here in Ghana--it is hard to tell you about all of them, but, I am writing them all down in my journals! I will have so many things to tell you about! I love it here!
Thank you so much for the package. The letters are great--keep them coming!
Love,
Elder Jeremy Reid
